It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi folks!
I'm a most satisfied user of GoG.com and proud to be a member of this community, however..
.. I recently migrated to linux (Slackware 13.37) and I'm having problems with the downloader.
I already tried both JGoGDownloader and the GoGDownloader linux scripts, but those don't even let me login - I guess it's because the downloader changed the way it manages games in the april update. However..
.. I installed Opera and setted up the gogownloader: protocol application to :
Program: wine
Parameter: /downloader/directory/GoGDownloader.exe
Since Opera wasn't accepting wine "etc/etc/etc.exe"
Now, Opera is managing gogdownloads just fine -when I open a link the downloader fires up.
And this is good.
BUT if I close it and then re-open it (Both outside and from Opera) the download list CLEARS! Even though the downloads directory retains the old files.
You will understand that downloading games like NeverWinter Nights (2.1 gb) from the browser is kinda hard to do with a 800 kb/s connection, expecially without downloading resume : /
Thanks to any who will help,
Amez

Wouldn't re-add the download queue from your account page solve this problem? Of course you should make a backup of the already downloaded chunks before trying. If I remember correctly, I experienced the same thing, but with Firefox.

Oh, and you should report here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/linux_users_report_here :-D

Download resuming does work.

You either need:
1) A downloader that doesn't change the "source" to the url it gets redirected to
2) To change the source back to the original download url before resuming

Uhm, i guess the integrated downloader will do the trick, won't it?

I don't know. I don't use Opera. I just use a downloader I wrote myself to download everything from GOG.

I would recommend either my own gogdl script or sude's C++ downloader

Both support resuming and will verify the integrity of installation files using the same md5sums used by the official downloader.
