Have any of you guys ever played any of these games in this video? :)
I remember playing Need for speed 1 and 2 on the playstation. I don't remember them being anything special
I actually have all of the NFS games up to Shift 2 on PC (haven't got around to getting The Run or Most Wanted yet), and I have NFS1 on the PS1.

Personally, after the horrendous mess that NFS1 was, I'm surprised it got a sequel. It was a horrible, horrible game on the PS1 and even worse on the PC. But as we know, it did get sequels, and NFS2 turned out to be supremely awesome, as did NFS3. 4 and 5 were alright, nothing spectacular though.

I would have written something along the lines of "I couldn't agree more"...

... if it wasn't for this part. NFS 5 (Porsche 2000/Porsche Unleashed) is considered by many longtime fans to be the best game in the series. To say it's "alright" is an understatement. What didn't you like about it?
I've played all except the first one.
Oh man that porche game was really something, may be my favorite racing game of all time; the way the car tilts at curves and how you had to be careful not to damage the car because it was expensive to fix, it really made me care for my car. I didn't really like how in the other nfs games the car could bounce off walls like it was made of rubber. You had that career more where you would move your way up from the old classic models. And then you had that other mode where you played as a test driver. Goddamn fantastic game. Oh and also a really nice first person view from inside the car that a lot of games don't have.
Need For Speed: one of the first, if not the very first, game that i bought with my own money (that is, money from my first job)....i kinda liked it, but was not that great; the feeling of the cars was a bit odd, i don't know how to explain that exactly, but it didn't "click" for me.

NFS 2 and 3: skipped entirely

NFS 4: High Stakes, my favourite, i played the hell out of it... loved the look and the feel.
I don't have it anymore or where to get it (*hint for GOG staff*); don't even know if it works on modern systems.

NFS 5: Skipped, but i read that it was just as good as 4 (basically the same engine actually, save for the single brand cars...)
