Ok, I'm working on a little project of mine, it's a side scroller game, and I made the main character sprite standing still (the angle is a bit off though), but I am a very poor animator - anyone with a bit more skills then me able to redo the standing one from directly side one, as well as make a running one, and possible a jumping one and attacking one, depending on what the first two end up like. Attached is the one I made, but as I said it is an odd angle and it needs to be side on.

Thanks,

sloganvirst: EDIT: Ok, the JPG one is all blurry, how can I attach a non blurry one? The original is a bmp.
You might be able to attach BMPs directly. Otherwise, try converting the BMP to PNG, I know you can attach that, and it's lossless.
That's a pretty cool sprite! What sort of game is it?

Sadly, I have the same problem. I can do decent (i.e. OK) character design but can't animate worth crap.

If you're willing to pay, I have a guy that I'm using for a game I'm working on, and he's amazing. A rough guide to his prices (which vary a lot) for piece by piece work are:

digital sketch (includes several sketches in the image) bitmap: $10 dollars a canvas.
full painting(bitmap): $70 a canvas.
static vector: $30 a canvas.
pixel animation: $2 a frame.
bitmap animation: $6 a frame.
vector animation: $5 a frame.
comic page sketch+ink+color (i don't do lettering): $150 a page.

Given that you already have the initial image, and if your animations are only a few frames long, it would only cost you pocket change. He's also fast. You can find him here, though he's based in California and just went to bed, so don't expect a reply in the next few hours ;)

Bare in mind that he does have some criteria with regards to who he's willing to work with and how he gets it done, so check out the link before contacting him.

Edit: I should add that included in the price, he will sign a contract agreeing that all artwork he creates for your project fully belongs to you, and he will have no ongoing claim to royalties over it.

That guy's stuff looks good! Unfortunately, I am not quite old enough to fit his requirements, and I can't exactly pay anyone either. :-(

Well, it is actually just a side project I started so that i am not constantly focusing on my main project, which takes up a lot of time is quite tiring, so I want something to 'lighten me up' - It's about a vampire-ish creature that whomever he 'consumes' he shapeshifts into, and therefore if you consume a suckfull guy, you get his body until you consume someone else - I have someone writing the storyline atm, I was also considering getting a team together if anyone is interested, but better not go posting another thread today/tomorrow or someone will likely called me a troll. :p

Btw, what quality sprites can you do? Megaman Zero type sprites?

Worked - thanks!

EDIT: If anyone is interested in doing this project with me (any help is appreciated), then you can contact me by GoG PM or I am on ModDB as Athero.
