After the recent releases and signings it's starting to make them shadowed, they want this spotlight how could they not? Well Lucas Arts now is the time to come to an agreement.

...... No, they really don't have to. It'd be nice if they did but they've several channels already that they sell games on, and it's not really like their financial future is at stake other than I suppose a couple extra $10k, if that. How many people are on GOG? I'll do the math later.

Yeah, they don't have to, but there are plenty of games that they made which aren't available for sale.

Then again. I'm sure George could use some more money to buy puppies to kick.

LucasArts are long overdue here, but then again, there is a nice selection of LA games on Steam already, so it's not that urgent.

Look how long it took them to arrive on Steam: more than 4 years after Steam started adding third party publishers. They were practically the last major publisher to join and as far as I know, they haven't made their games available on any other download service since then (except Origin, but that is due to the EA/LA partnership and only covers TOR). While it would be really REALLY nice to see LA here, don't hold your breath, they are in no rush to get here.

LA signing on would make sense, they can't have none of that.

Supposedly they were close to a deal when they announced EA. Or at least I assume they were one of the ones that were close, I can't imagine MS coming here anytime soon.

But, close or not so close, a deal isn't a deal until it's been signed.

Not their best offerings though, most of their fantastic adventure games are unavailable.

I think LucasArts has proved over the past few years that they are very happy to just sit on games and licenses and not do anything with them. Although it would be nice if they came here, I don't think there's a super high chance.

It's not really surprising, their parent company is perfectly comfortable sitting on the original theatrical edition of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Sometimes an ego gets so large that the fans no longer matter. And I tend to suspect that might be going on here.

LucasArts will never do anything nice.

They're not just sitting on the theatrical versions of Star Wars, they are actively trying to erase them from existence forever.

George Lucas is 67 presently, he'll likely be dead of old age in the next 20-30 years. I would be very surprised indeed if Lucasfilms resisted the urge for the profits from releasing the original theatrical cut, or even the version that was provided on VHS.

They released the original unaltered trilogy a few years ago, I bought the best buy version with the tin box. Each film came in a dvd case with the the SE version and the Original version. they could have cleaned up the transfer on the originals a little IMO.

depends on what you like most, i guess. Indy, Loom and the Jedi Knight series are high up on my list of LA favourites.

ya, i bet they'll come out with a second Blu Ray release featuring the original theatrical cuts, but missing all the special features. for once - just once - i wish i could buy a complete Star Wars collection containing both the original and 'enhanced' versions of the films as well as all the bonus material.

they did and i bought that set, but it was missing all the bonus material.
