Hey all, it's the first of January and I had a blast over Christmas so here's a little giveaway!

I will be giving away two games from the Tex Murphy series: Under A Killing Moon and Pandora Directive.

The former was a ground breaking game in the Tex Murphy series, switching to FMV etc. Nevertheless, despite it being funny, I believe that it's campyness ultimately worked against it. Ultimately, UAKM was just a lead up to Pandora Directive, which is an absolute masterpiece in adventure gaming and computer gaming in general. I won't rant on about this game, because I have already done so in numerous threads. If interested, google for it (since the search function is useless).

Pandora Directive was the first game that my parents bought me and is very dear to me. It was a defining experience in my childhood as far as computer gaming went. A brilliant game. As a result of this, I'd like to gift these games to people who are genuinely interested in playing them (also who don't mind FMV) and would rather not give them to people who will put them in their backlog indefinitely, or who aren't really interested. I wouldn't simply mind giving them to people who have already played them but don't have the GOG version (CD-swapping was admittedly a bitch). Of course, I'd like to initiate some people into the world ot Tex, so if you're interested, do enter!

So in order to enter, please let me know which game you'd like and why! I will then decide on that basis or will simply random.org them.

Enjoy!

Edit: So I just won two of Gojays2025's Steamgifts giveaways and in order to give a little something back, I decided to add Overseer to this giveaway as well. Overseer handles a little bit differently from the other two games and I'd recommend people to play it after the other two. It's a fantastic game in it's own right, just a little bit different. In fact, I believe that it has the puzzle design out of the three. And not to mention the nailbiting ending! Ok the cat's out of the bag now. When's the sequel coming?!?

So I'll just random.org this one or if you'd like this one, please state so in your post!

Never played a Tex Murphy game, though I would very much like to give Pandora Detective a go. I'm a big point-and-click adventure fan, so I figure it's right up my alley.
I would love to have a shot at Pandora Directive. Thanks for doing this!
Never played any game in the series, but looking at the screenshots for the scavenger hunt I thought that they look very interesting.

I'll say Pandora Directive.
I always wanted to try Tex Murphy! and so I'de love to start with Under a Killing Moon before I go on to Pandora :)
I have just recently found this site and it is great. I got a old computer in 2000 and it sucked so I missed just about every great computer adventure game. I couldn't run games because they were too old or too new. I did manage to play day of the tentacle, with no sound because I couldn't get it to work, and loved it. I have been interested in adventure games ever since. I would like to experience this game and learn to cherish it as you have. I will chose the Pandora Directive, but honestly I would play either one.
Pandora Directive because it looks a little better.
This is a great giveaway. I own both and highly recommend them to fans of the genre and new comers alike.

Despite being a big adventure gamer, I hadn't played either until some years ago, I'd passed them up in the 90's for being First Person Perspective and FMV (just too many bad experiences). During the early 2000's when the genre was going through a rough patch, I looked back at some of the games I'd passed up and these were two of the gems I discovered. I think Pandora Directive is the slightly superior game, but both are classics well worth a look. Best of luck to everyone participating.
not entering: just rep+ :-)
Count me in for Under A Killing Moon, never played a tex murphy before, and love campyness and B-movie-ness
Well, I think I'd like Pandora Detective.
tex murphy overseer , because well thats the best one out of three

thx for the contest

Under a Killing Moon. While others might not see it to be as good as Pandora, it still deserves a good home. I've never played a Tex Murphy game before and would love to try it. Thanks for the giveaway.
Never played any of the Tex Murphy games and want to try one.

Count me in
Under a Killing Moon.
Why? I MUST know what becomes of this:
