And now they want to ask gamers what we think they should do next with these properties:
http://forum.nordicgames.at/forumdisplay.php?924-Discussion-about-Atari-IPs

The gamecards here on GOG have already been updated to reflect the new publisher, if only all such transitions went this smoothly.
I know all of Jack Squat about Nordic. Aside from the logo on the game can we expect any differences be it with price or content?
Good news, hopefully the Atari games can stay on GOG with the help of other companies.
Ahhh man, I sure hope Darklands, BloodNet and Legacy: Realm of Terror go to a good home, those are some awesome cRPGs that deserved to be re-released (well Darklands is already here)

Also, I have heard on the grapevine that the recent thing about the Baldur's Gate "Enhanced Edition" getting removed is because Atari is preparing to sell off whatever rights they still have left of it
Too bad they didn't buy anything that's not on GOG yet, I guess that would have been more interesting ... ;)
Is there any way to actually see what properties are being sold in the auction? Or isn't it public?

I'd be surprised, Atari has no rights to BG, they reverted them to Hasbro.

But they still retained (somehow) the rights to publishing BGEE, I assume because it's development started before the Atari/Hasbro settlement. I'm only speculating, but I think it makes sense, Atari US declared bankruptcy a while back are now selling off IP's, so they decided to sell BGEE back to Hasbro.
I guess the talk about Atari selling/auctioning off all IPs is true. I need to go ahead and buy Blood in case it ends up with a company that isn't GOG friendly.
Since I happen to have Blood on my wishlist, I 'd better get it sometime quick. As for Desperados and Silver? I never played Desperados (I only heard it was a Western setting Commandos) and I didn't like Silver, especially its weird control method.

Maybe now something might come of this:
http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/15/atari-declines-jace-halls-offer-to-develop-and-enhanced-version-of-blood/

A GZDoom-like source-port for Blood would be awesome
Gimme that Humongous Entertainment! :-P
I would love a Silver sequel as long as it doesn't stray too far away from the first title.
Has Nordic Games actually done something with all those IPs that it has bought? It would seem like they just buy everything they can get their hands on, and then does nothing with it (other than keep on selling the games on different digital distribution platforms). The only two exceptions to this that I know of are the new Painkiller game and that fan-mod gone retail game Spellforce 2 standalone expansion.
They are investiguating what they could do with the Darksiders license. Otherwise, they didn't do much. But they continue to sell the games through digital channels and I guess someone could step up and arrange a deal to develop sequels to some of their ips.
