It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So i just wanted to plug my favorite tool, its been a life saver for some time now... and its recently added "classic shell" its NiNite !

You select the programs you want to keep up to date and just run the EXE. it default instals them with the base options (eg no tool bars no weird settings) and auto checks to keep them all up to date. its clean quiet and quick... you can make special packages for just the basics EG: Jave, flash, silver light, or Dev tools, search tools etc...

ninite is a must have and works everywhere... i have 4 pre built packs i keep on a USB that i run right off the bat when i service peoples computers...
Looks like a pretty handy tool

can it automatically update drivers as well?
Windows really, really needs some sort of package manager. At least the market thingy tries.

Desktop stuff aside, they should really redo the Store from scratch. It follows nothing of the design philosophy of WinRT. -_-

EDIT: And Mail should look similar to Outlook.com, and People should look similar to the web application.

EDIT2: Kind of crappy that a WinRT application is missing features that a web application has (since they are using JS for both of them, porting stuff shouldn't be hard).

I'v'e heard great things about Ninite before, I should try it. Thanks for the heads up!
it has minimal Linux support but. between apt, zypper, yumm your all set already :)

i agree the store is lacking massively, updates are like a crap shoot on whats being done and navigation is horrendous
