To be expected, but really Blood Money was already as 'accessible' as a Hitman game should be.

lowyhong: Understandable. After all, it was dog days. (couldn't resist)

PhoenixUltima: I've only played the first game (spent $60 on it too, ugh), but from what I hear K&L2 was somehow even worse. I know the Hitman series has been pretty good (though the first game did not age well at all), but anyone who would buy an IO Interactive game after that is either hopelessly optimistic or a complete fanboy.
Having beaten both I can tell you the second one is about 10 times better. Still not everyone's cup of tea and nothing special, but saying the original game was better would be pretty weird considering all the improvements.
Finally another game for my 5 years old nephew . :p
Go back and play Blood Money. There are parts of that game that are most certainly obtuse; the stealth system has always been somewhat lacking, and the AI behavior can be pretty erratic. It's also too easy to accidentally blow your cover by hitting a wrong button.

I welcome any changes to make it more accessible.

Also, do you always act like the sky is falling whenever a short statement is released? See it in action before jumping on your soapbox and decrying the game.

I admit my response was emotionally driven, mostly fear, since after waiting so long for a new Hitman game they go and announce they're going to make changes to the formula. It can, of course, be for the best and actually make the game better than the prior ones, but I've had at least like 2 (!!!!!) bad experiences with gameplay changes and that is obviously reason enough to doubt this'll go well.

None of what you talked about sounds like accessibility other than better explained objectives, which I disagree with because half the fun of a Hitman/Death to Spies level is figuring out how to kill the target the way you want to.

It's called experience. It's called living in the gaming culture the last 20 years and seeing what these kinds of goals mean.
Spoilers: Every Hitman game is more accessible than the last one. Coincidentally, every Hitman game has been better than the last one.
That's fine and dandy, but can we get another Hitman game soon?
