Hey guys,

I have a few more newbish questions.

So I just bought a new computer last night and I'm already a little overwhelmed as is (it has two hard drives and I don't know what to do with them), and I don't have Internet for 2 weeks since I just moved! I was going to wait to buy anything, but then I saw the sale!

My questions:
If I buy right now, can I download in two weeks?
Can I download the game on my desktop and new lap top?

I forgot the other questions.. My daughter is distracting me...

Yes and yes. Until the service is around, you can download as many times as possible, and if you back-up your downloaded installers on DVDs, service doesn't even need to exist anymore for you to install your downloaded games (that means: Unlike Steam, installation doesn't need to have internet access)

And you can install the game on all computers you own with no restrictions - that's according to agreement with GoG, not due to lack of DRM, if you're interested in that sort of thing.
Okay, more questions : )

So I purchased 5 or 6 games last night, and downloaded a couple of them. Everything went fine up till then. Then I installed them, again everything went fine. Then I tried to play them... this is where it fell apart and my new questions come in.

-how do i play a game? Do i have to launch DosBox application thingie and type command there?
-is there an .exe im not seeing?
-Does each game have a unique method to run?
-Am i screwed since I have Win7 or will running it in this compatibility mode thing work?

(I bought Gobliiins Pack, Cannon Fodder, Psychonauts, Myst, Real Myst, Under a Killing Moon, Martian memorandum/mean streets)
To the best of my knowledge, all game installers place an icon on your desktop. You double click it, and the game starts.

Be aware that not all games have Win7 support yet. You can see on the game page if it has.

1) No fiddling around with any command prompts or more advanced sorts of measure. Just simply launch the game through the shortcuts generated on the desktop and in the start menu. (Check All Programs - GOG.com - <Game name>)
2) Some games run differently. You may have to run the game through DOSBox, ScummVM, or just a native .EXE. If you're unsure what to do, find the game's shortcut in the start menu.
3) See #2. :D
4) Nope. Since the launch of the new site, compatibility with Windows 7 has been added. Of the games you listed, there are no known compatibility issues with Windows 7. Just launch the game and see what happens.

if you have any trouble, you can contact GOG through the "Support" button at the top of the website, or you can check each games' sub-forums in the "Community" section (where you are now!)

Every game I've downloaded here that requires DOSBox has auto-loaded as soon as I started the game.

Sometimes, I've had to right click the game and select Run As Administrator to get the game to work without crashing, but that option has worked every time.

Every game I've had, I just clicked either on the shortcut icon on the desktop, or went to the folder itself and started the game from the icon listed for whichever game I wanted.

I have Windows 7 as well, and so far every game I've loaded has played fine.
In windows 7, you sometimes need to run the installer/downloader As Administrator. Try that if you have difficulties launching your games. It worked for me on my DosBox GOG games.
