real.geizterfahr: No, seriously... Sexism works in both directions. She's got enough of half naked women? I have enough of men in muscle shirts firing assault rifles one handed because they're so strong and masculine. Those are sexist stereotypes as well.
To add to what JMich and Strixo said, these are also male fantasies, not female. Research has shown time and again that women do not prefer the strong muscular body frames, they seem to prefer more lean and agile body frames. Think something more like [url=http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120612173330/protagonist/images/e/e6/Squall_Leonhart_character.jpg&imgrefurl=http://protagonist.wikia.com/wiki/Squall_Leonhart&h=1273&w=487&sz=79&tbnid=Yaqg1bf3xIOzCM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=34&zoom=1&usg=__GfCzLooBi3FZGcEpfKTKxGm0SPk=&docid=jJXq-i72LjFnqM&sa=X&ei=sWioUdeVMaOW0AW4x4GQAQ&ved=0CFgQ9QEwBA&dur=241]Squall Leonhart[/url]. The strong beefcake tends to be a 'male power fantasy' not a 'female sexual fantasy'

(this do not mean all women do, but that the majority is so inclined).

This might be of interest to some.
I think a more appropriate title for this video series (so far) would be "Tropes in Japanese video games vs Feminism" :D

And even if it were, this still limits the choice for women to "people I'd like to screw" and "people men would like to screw". There has to be more "people I would like to *be*". Preferably at least one of those per game that has humanoid characters.

real.geizterfahr: Yeah... Slowly I'm getting the picture of her ideal female character. A fat nun, freeing herself from captivity (Don't worry, she wasn't really captured... She volunteered to... uhm... yes, she volunteered), using a prayer to loosen her manacles and persuading her captors to give her the keys to her cell. wtf?
You don't get it, the issue is simply that there are rarely any helpless men for the player character to save.

Or in movie terms: women tend to prefer the Clooneys and the DiCaprios to the Schwarzeneggers and the Stallones.
The problem I see in this study is, that she only uses games with female victims. What about games like Tomb Raider, Blood Rain, Final Fantasy series, Cognition series and so on? She only chose games which provide the conditions to prove her theory. She blocked the comments on YouTube because she doesn't want to face up any criticism or answer questions about this study. That's very unserious. I feel bad for the people who backed this crap.

Oh, so that's the reason and not the hate campaign against her. Man, do I feel silly now, I was certain it was the hate campaign.

Why would she use examples that disprove her? That would be dumb. Also how do the examples you provide disprove her theory, do those games revolve around saving helpless men?
She blocked the comments because of the absurd amount of hate she gets. The people backed this mostly due to the incredible hate campaign against her.

If you make a study it's certain that less or more people disagree or even don't like you. But if you're serious you have to face criticism. I also wouldn't aswer dumb questions or any insults. But a study must be open to scientific discussions. Otherwise it's not a study. It's a not proven theory. It would be the same if I say "Tomorrow it will rain frogs. No further comments".

Yes, that is the reason

There have been many good arguments and points made to her absolutely ridiculous videos, she never addresses anything, want to know why? Because she doesn't give a shit about anything and the only thing she cares is the "Fame" all of this bullshit brings her and the money that Dumbshits give to her

Let's say you made this "tomorrow it will rain frogs" claim and received thousands of death threats and other abuse, and it happened again everywhere you went. Are you super duper certain that you wouldn't start avoiding it and that the only possible reason why you would not open any doors for the abusers is that you're avoiding criticism?
See this thread here, it's about discussing the videos. At least it's supposed to be. It's not anymore. The youtube comments wouldn't be either. Did you know the "critics" continuously flagged that video until it got removed from youtube and had to get a special "this gets flag abused" setting to get back up? Does not sound like discussion to me.

There's an abundance of places where you can discuss the video, so if you really want to discuss the videos, please do.
Just throwing this video out there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myzir-DC9RA

Couldn't agree with it more. It's not that I like Sarkeesian or that I think her videos are especially good or anything. In fact, I always thought they were pretty lazy research, even before she made the Kickstarter, but the hate she's been getting basically validates her. Not only does it shut up critical people like me, it also makes a bad impression of men.

In fact, I dare say that the hate campaign is a bigger issue here than her videos ever were. It may be a vocal minority that's spewing the bile, but if you as a man stay silent and don't speak up against it or worse, join in, it will seem like it's the majority. I would like to think that men are better than that.
