After releasing the first and only new game on GOG.com, we're back into our standard, good, old games releases.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/spellforce_2_shadow_wars]Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars is the sequel of the great game that blends the action and tactics of an RTS with an immersive role-playing experience. In the second part you have to once more fight the evil that threatens the fantasy world of Eo, choosing from 9 different classes within 3 factions. The game promises over 60 hours of gameplay and an extensive co-op mode!

Additionally to the new release, we're launching a week-long promo on Spellforce Platinum. You can grab it now, until Tuesday May 31 at 6:59 a.m. EDT, for half the price - only $4.99!

Nirth_90: As for Spell Force 2 I never actually liked that game, they changed too much from the original (I believe the devs were bought up by JoWood or some other publisher) aside from the story (the added backstory to Order of Dawn and the other EXPs were great). It might fit into my GOG collection in the future and was therefor added to my long, ever growing wishlist.
Phenomic (the developer) is bought by EA.

Really? Even worse and more understandable the sequel was so different.

Since Phenomic is owned by EA how come GOG was able to get the game on their catalogue?

Because Spell Force 2 is in JoWood catalogue rather than EA. Phenomic were bought a little later by EA. Both Spell Force 2 and it's expansion were published by JoWood.
