OK, so you can consistent pop headshots with a sniper rifle in any online FPS, at any range... But does that make you 1337 enough to handle a game with ballistics more realistic than just point-and-click?
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/sniper_elite_berlin_1945]Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 is a first-person/third-person tactical shooter in which you, an OSS agent, are sent to Berlin in order to deny the Soviet NKVD access to German nuclear technology. Unlike modern FPS games, where you just go forward guns-blazing through whichever route isn't blocked, Sniper Elite is about stealth, patience and precision. You will have to choose the best route, avoid enemy patrols, look our for enemy snipers, wait for openings and, if an opportunity presents itself, take a shot. Depending on the difficulty, the game can take into account wind speed, bullet velocity, gravity and your breathing... But if makes the hit all the more satisfying.
This game is absolutely fantastic (if not overpriced on GOG as it has no compatibility problems as far as I know).
Get this game.
I already own this game from somewhere else, but I might pick it up from GOG eventually.
A game where you have to think? Say it ain't so!
I've never played this so maybe one day when I have cash lying around I'll buy it.
Graphics look like ass though. For a 2005 game I'd have expected better.

Dammit you guys! A little advanced warning would earned you guys a sale.
I just bought this game on steam a week or so ago when it was $1.99.
Where the heck are the Atari games anyway?

*sigh*
Realistic sniping, unrealistic environments and war-time recreation.
So its sort of Hitman-esque in planning and patience? This is the first one to pique my interest in a while
Are there fixed/optimal sniping spots? Or are you free to decide where you want to go trigger happy?
Oh nice :D haven't gotten round to playing this....*money on the ready*

Kinda... you choose spot, you can snipe anybody or get superstealth. On Easy you can be as triggerhappy as you want. Even with SMG. So, i than start playing it again on hard and its great. First game where is bloody dificult to shoot someones head on 500 m.
I hated this game when I played it two years ago. HATED IT. Maybe it's better on PC than XBox, but it made me very, very angry.

A game that requires precision aiming on Xbox? Yeah, I can see how that might not have worked out so well.

I still haven't found a mouse I'm 100% happy with. Even my Razer hasn't seen much use due to crappy, half arsed drivers that are worse than the default Windows ones.
