Are there any RotT ports in existence? Or does the current version have all the nifty features in some of the Duke Nukem and Doom ports? User friendly interface that allows for easy customization and changing resolutions, etc.
I just bought it, awesome.
Also, I noticed the album cover inside of the soundtrack is named "Rise of the Triad: Dark Wart". :V

TheCombine: WinROTT.

Sweet. Now I have no reason not to buy this game. Never heard of it back in the dark ages from whence it came. But I always wanted to play a Build engine game besides Duke 3D that didn't suck. I won't name names but there's this disappointing game that ends with edneck Rampage and starts with an R.
EDIT: What's the tag for italics?

ROTT is not a build engine game. ROTT actually uses the same engine as Wolfenstein 3D if I'm not mistaken.
EDIT:
I think I might have misunderstood what you were actually saying, so feel free to disregard this post.

On second thought though, from watching youtube runthrough videos, the brick filled monastery theme looks too drab, uninteresting, and repetitive. Are there more varied locales as you progress or do the maps stick to the same theme?
I feel like it's 1995. I'm sitting in front of my PC, lights turned off, school's tomorrow and I should be busy doing my homework. But I won't, not tonight. Instead I'm gonna play 'till early morning and be half dead tomorrow. Who cares, I just need to beat that game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rI9qMDU4css

Yep, WinROTT for Windows, and Icculus has a Linux port as well.

Huh. Does GOG or Apogee have some sort of deal with GameTrailers? That's the second release I've seen have a trailer put up there.

Good! GOG needs a little bit more advertising. Although it's doing pretty well with the word of the mouth marketing.
One of the first FPS's I played and to this day still 1 of the best.

Promotion. I do not market. :P
It's not even Build engine huh? Like I said before, I was watching gameplay videos of this game and it looks like the environments aren't what I expected. Since it involves Triads and all, I was expecting at least some gritty urban locales like streets, bars, dojos, or industrial buildings.
I still might get it eventually though, the duel pistols themselves are probably worth it.
