From what I've heard, this game was reviewed very badly in the past.... Very slow gameplay (you can make big decisions three times per day, in the meantime you can do petty much nothing), with not so many choices. You spent most of the time (of actual gameplay) on 2D strategical map...
But I've never actually payed it, so it might be a good fun after all.
It recieved a lot of critical acclaim however it sold poorly. This is an excellent opportunity for it to have a second chance. I remember watching some in game footage on the television and it certainly looked promising.

Never heard of this. Seems quite strange and interesting. On my wishlist for a future purchase :)

Bolek: So lets ask... Who has ever heard about this game? :D

I have heard of it. It's an interesting concept, but the execution is meant to be a bit hit and miss, in terms of the interface. It's very deep, but also completely unintuitive. The sort of game you'd be immediately looking for a guide on. Not that that's such a bad thing for some. But it would probably put a lot of people off.
Metacritic says it is.... well... good average at best.

Worth it for the soundtrack alone.
From Metacritic, I can see the game was initially published by Eidos way back when, so its not strange no one ever heard of it. The only really bad thing about Eidos is how they constantly messed up advertising and public relations with most of their (non Tomb Raider) titles. Thief, System Shock 2, Anachronox, Omikron, even Deus Ex were almost never heard about until they were actually released, and only after that did they become cult classics, by word-of-mouth gamer reputation alone. I don't know if Republic: the Revolution can even hope the join the pantheon of those stellar titles, but it does look interesting.
Looking over the reviews on Metacritic, I see the the game was slammed for steep learning curve, poor design decisions, and unintuitive controls, yet praised for great, innovative strategy.
Could be worth looking into, indeed...
Am I the only one that have actually played this before? 0.o

Really? I remember it as a heavy hyped game

It looks like it is intended for die-hard strategy fans...
Good thing I am one :-).

I've heard of it but I've also heard it was supposed to be fairly buggy, if that's been fixed (or was never true), I'd definitely be interested in it, I'm in the mood for a good revolution, a bloody one naturally, the bloodless 'will of the people' political kind never have enough explosions
Some of the screens sort of remind me of an old game called Floor 13, it seems to have a feel of "sign your name on this order to kill a dozen men"

Heard of it, never got the chance to play. Loved the promotional music they released when it was announced.
Sounds like a cool concept, will plan to check it out. But I've been saying that a lot, and the 'want' games are stacking up, and I still have many I've barely played. Still, it was one of those that I wanted but never managed to find first off.
I don't usually blow out in happiness but.
HOLY F*CK**G SH*********T
GREAT JOB GOG, Great catch!
I still have my original CD's sitting in my room, now I'll buy it here too.
Awesome thank you, Lords of the Realm, Lords of Magic, and now this!
Great catches from Rebellion
Game is good but specially for hardcore patient strategies fans, I'm ane of them and have retail from few years. Game worth buying. Maybe it's little below expectations but still good.
This is one of my favourite games. I know that it's horribly flawed, but I don't care. I really really enjoy it. Already own it twice, but will be buying it from here as soon as possible.
Played the demo a few months ago
Love it or hate it title
Personally, I think it's alright, but it was hyped quite a lot
You could change my opinion by gifting me a copy though..........
