That sounds a lot like how my brother used to play DooM just after he lost half his left index finger. He would move forwards with the R MB and fire with the L MB (and walk backwards with shift). Since we often had to share computer I got used to it as well.

I'll second that, I recall when this game first came out, caused quite an uproar in some circles, I got it and played it, got a few chuckles out of it then got bored with it all in the same weekend. I did not even know that they had made a 2nd one, lol I guess if it brings more people to GoG then its a good thing, but I think I'll get something else for now, GoG has so many better games to choose from.

Awesome, thanks man. It doesn't look too good, but 2 looks like it would be fun.

I'm all for GOG getting more games that have names that people recognize, following the theory that the more such games GOG offers the more games they will be offered to sell. At the end of this long chain of events, somewhere, are my beloved System Shock games, and I would dearly love to play them again.
But, that said, the Postal games fulfill only 2/3rds of the winning GOG formula. Yes they are old. I would argue that the graphics and engine were old when they launched. Yes, technically, they are games...although I am willing to vigorously debate anyone who says that there is any fun to be had within them.
They were never good.
Now, granted, I base this opinion off of a few brief moments of self-flagellation spent playing the demos (I still don't know why). I dunno...maybe after the first ten minutes they stop being unabashedly racist, stupid, and shallow (the ultimate shock-jock game design technique) and somehow become awesome.
I cannot fathom how that could be possible though.

I was about to instantly dismiss it, didn't care for postal2 at all. Then I look at this thing, and it's nothing I recognise. I was expecting a FPS, not an ISO shooter.
Now I'm too conflicted if I want it or not :}

Is there supposed to be any music while you play?

They were never good.

A worthy point...although I like to think that the Apogee games simply haven't aged well. Several of them had at least some modicum of merit when they were released. That just evaporated with age VERY quickly.
I maintain the Postal games just had very little effort and care put into them from the very beginning. The point was just to sell them to children who wanted something to upset their parents with and people who would buy anything edgy IMHO.

Postal 2 was built to run on the generation of hardware that was one prior to cutting edge when it was released, graphically. It also had some very advanced AI and other technologies at the time. Unreal Engine 2 was relatively new still when Postal 2 was first released, and if I remember correctly, Postal 2 was actually originally built on Unreal Engine 1, then moved over to UE2 and was released long before Epic's first game using UE2 technology. At the time, the physics, and the liquids, and the AI were pretty much top of the line.
Postal 3, I'm guessing, will probably not be pushing state of the art anything, but it will be fun. Postal 2 was a ton of fun.
(sorry if this multiposts, i'm having problems with your forms on here)

Postal 3 will be using the Source engine, right?
And while I like the Source engine for its scalability and its ability to "grow" with the improvements in computing, I think that it's time for it to be retired... Postal 3 should go Unreal Engine 3 for maximum gore visuals.
