You've probably already beat the original One Unit Whole Blood and Blood 2: The Chosen (if not, what are you waiting for???), so here's a couple mods you might like trying.
One Unit Whole Blood and Blood 2: The Chosen, creations of Monolith Productions are two games that keep you in front of your computer for hours. We have some blood... I mean Blood enthusiasts here at GOG, so we asked one of them to prepare a present for all you Caleb fans. do you want to hear “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” or “I'm not dead...yet” again, as you kill numerous armies of zombies? Sure you do, that's why we found some cool Blood mods prepared by the awesome Blood community, played them and now it's time we share them with you.
Don't know it, but will try it out later this week. When looking at the screenshots it seems like an extremely lineair game where you need to do some clicking, watching and clicking again, but of course I could be wrong ;)

You're about right. It only got a good review at Bill's Adventureland's site, which is pretty specialist in pure adventure games. Everyone else (well the two other reviews I found anyway!) didn't like it too well and gave it in the 60's.
What I always say though, is you have to think: If a game is worth 70% at a $40 pricepoint, what score would it have got at a $6 pricepoint? The same 70% or more? Eaxh gamer has to decide!
Pure adventure games, by their nature, are pretty linear. But that doesn't change the fact that point and click adventure games like The Longest Journey, Gabriel Knight and Sam and Max are some of the greatest GAMES ever released, let alone adventures!

100% agreed and I hope everyone here is listening. Please don't oversell a game simply because it's cheap. It's pricepoint may make it easy to grab whether it's amazing or not, but it won't change the fact that it's a mediocre title. Judge based on merit.

I hope we can score some of the greats too. It just sucks that they are all in the hands of suits who don't respect the origins of their companies. I'm sorry but without games like Monkey Island all these Star Wars titles wouldn't exist, as Lucasarts wouldn't have gotten off the ground.

I totally agree, but since I'm more of a collector I don't really care about the price. I'm just extremely curious about it and I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it. I've always had a week spot for old-skool fantasy games :-)
I got dragon's lair free on the cover of a games mag a few years back.
Looks pretty.
Has charm.
Is totally unplayable.
Hopefully this one actually has some game in it somewhere.
That said, i'm happy to have as many games as possible on the site... even ones that might not be considered particularly "good". There's always someone who loves them....
I think the main problem is that this game is a port of an early 80's arcade game and not a PC game, so its going to be a lot simpiler and will deliver in areas other than those that we've come to expect on the PC, even at that time, so its kindof unfair to hold it at the same

low rated
As I have said elsewhere, good luck to this game, but it is ganering less attention than practically any other game on here. One thing to be said for every other game on G.O.G., Google it and you get dozens or articles and reviews to be able to check it out. Not so with this game, that has been barely covered at all.
This, so far, is the only weak link in the GOG line-up chain. I hope they don't add too many more 'weak links' or the overall reputation of GOG will suffer, I fear.

There is no weak link. I've never played it so don't have an oppinion yet but it's not because you don't like game other people wouldn't want to try it out or won't like it.

Any game that has ten posts talking about it with no one having bought it (try and find any other GOG games that don't have a 'downloaded it' within half a dozen posts!), or even saying they MIGHT get it!
And when I Google a game and see that it was barely covered by anyone, I don't ned to play it to se it's a weak link.
It is so ridiculous to say you cannot have an opinion about a game uless you buy it! Who has enough money to buy EVERY SINGLE GAME, in order to have an opinion?
Do yourself a favour, randomly choose any of the other GOG games and Google the title. Then Google this one. The comparison will be stark.
GOG will never tell us sales numbers, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if no one has downloaded this game yet!
But despite getting minus scores I am only saying this as a fan of GOG. Tomany weak titles like this and GOG will suffer - and I don't want to see that happening! I may never be the top of the 'points league', but I will always say it as it is, for GOG's sake! Who needs a bunch 'of 'yes gamers' fawning over everything you do? Who needs that? Why do you think GOG has a link at the bottom of every webpage so we can tell them what's not working properly?
Lastly, muaddib, I find it interesting that people can say I have no right to my opinion when they are given an opinion themselves. If you haven't bought this game muaddib, what gives YOU the right to say it's not a weak link?! How come I am not allowed to say it is but you can say it's not? If you ever run a country, remind me not to live in it, as I doubt it would be very democratic!

John, you might be getting minus points because you've made the exact same point about a dozen times already. Don't you think you're being a bit harsh on the GOG people, just for one, single game?
We have here an excellent new site with a very good idea. One major factor discounted in this discussion is that there will be much feedback from all of us that play these games. This will generate more sales and the good games will get the good ratings and recommendations. This descriptive information provided by GOG for a fresh game should help us decide to purchase or wait. Further input from players will claifiy the type of game and whether it's worth $6.95 or $9.95 and remember -- these are very fine prices for games readily available, no DRM, easily copied to CD, XP AND VISTA-compatible, add-ons, a very decent downloader and what looks to be a desirable community to associate with.

Well, it took a dozen posts, so maybe we can get an honest review from you or comments in this thread!

First of all, I don't think I've ever said you have no right to say what you want. Why are you being so defensive?
Secondly, it's not for us to gudge whether a game is bad or not. If every single gaming magazine said it sucked and if thousands of people advise you not to play it, there might stil be thousands of other people that do like it. And if really nobody in the world likes it, there might still be a lot of people that just want to try it out to see why nobody likes it, or because they just want to play if for out of interest.
In any case, GOG will never suffer from that, do you think anybody would say "Bah, they have Kingdoms, even though they have douzens of other games I like, I'm not going to visit that damned site any longer! Die GOG!"? I don't think so...
BTW, I tried the game and played if for 5 minutes, in my eyes it's totally unplayable and no fun at all. Still, I'm happy I tried it and simply because I'm a collector, no matter how bad the games are and I'm sure a lot of people will still like it because of nostalgic reasons...
