The Evil is back! Thanks to the sequel to the acclaimed Dungeon Keeper you can be even nastier.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dungeon_keeper_2]Dungeon Keeper 2 is Bullfrog’s second take on the masterpiece blend of real-time strategy with elements of sim, RPG and first person action game. Once again you take the role of the main Bad Guy. You have to build an underground empire, set deadly traps, recruit armies of brainless minions, and show the good-natured (bleh!) heroes where their place is: six feet under! And with even greater selection of traps and monsters it's now easier than ever. So train your army well (or slap them into submission) to expand your evil empire from the undergrounds to the realms above.
Do the movies work? I have cd copy but i never got the movies to work even after contacting customer support and now my cd version doesn't even work at all, so i hope this version doesn't have a lot of problems...

KneeTheCap: Sh*t...

I have never, ever played this, owned it at one point but it wouldn't work :D

Maybe I'll buy this someday, I've heard that it's good. So wishlisted for now, since doctors are eating all my money at the moment...

Skystrider: Yep, it's good. It's very, very good. Check your PM and find out for yourself. ;)
Really? Thank you so much! I honestly wasn't expecting this!
Never played more than than the demo when I was a kid but I remember loving that one.

Hopefully I'll be able to afford it soon so I can finish what i started so many years ago :P

Protoss: There were some nice additions to Dungeon Keeper 2 later (I don't remember if that were patches or mini addons, but they were for free). Are they included in the GOG version?

I think there was an almost-sandbox mode where you could build a dungeon as you want and win upon hitting a certain objective. It had like five maps.
That almost-sandbox mode is the My Pet Dungeon or Creature Dungeon, something along those lines and was part of the core game from day 1 ^_^. A couple of new additions were made in one patch.... a half spider half woman and a couple of new traps, I don't know if they're in GOG's though as their EA releases thus far seem to be underwhelming incarnations.

cosmicdolphin: Which Version Number is it patched to?

Vorashsokar: Just brought this myself and it seems to be the same bug filled version that we have on CD.

Black Graphics corruption still present with hardware acceleration enabled and the game crashes if you try to take a screenshot or view mission objectives in the campaign missions.

I hope they get these fixed but being new to Gog i'm not sure how much they can do with regards to older games and bugs.

cosmicdolphin:
The GoG Version is the most up to date 1.7 which includes the map packs and the Maiden creature. Only downside is the aforementioned bugs still present. :)

Would Dungeon Keeper 2 will be good for the newcomer to this series? I have never play any games in this series before.

Just my opinion here, but I would go with the original Dungeon Keeper game, way better than the sequel.

DK2 is basically DK1 upgraded to (much) better graphics with some new monsters and gameplay changes. You can't do anything wrong by going straight for DK2.
Gotcha, thanks for the replies.

Much appreciated it. :D
Money, where art thou when I need thou?

Wishlisted
Whoop, there it is!

Ubivis: anyone tried if this runs well with FXKeeper?
KeeperFX is only for DK1 afaik

Yes! start with this one, it definitely aged better than the first game and it's easier to pick up and play compared to the first

I still prefer the first one because it has better sounds IMHO.
Gog didn't even fix the game just used the CD version and 1.7 patch, won't buy it yet...
