I definitely agree with Alexis. They almost can read our minds. I've wanted to try this series for some time. I'm really interested in seeing the possibilities of genetics.
There was a big modding community around these games. The Creatures Community Spirit Festival 2009 ended on the 14th, actually. The community has gotten a lot smaller over the past few years, but maybe this will revive it a bit. There was also an online store at Gameware (owner of CLabs) with official "breed packs" but the store and the official forum been down for quite some time.
Links to mods, unofficial bug patches, game info, etc, etc, here.
My personal collaborations are hosted here. ;)

Edit: Links fixed thanks to Ralackk and Wishbone

Like Sims, but with genes. I never really got into the second game as a kid, partially because of my limited English at that time. Thanks for the chance to try again.

Edit: The links are all pointed at the same place? I'm not sure how to fix that. Maybe copy and paste to browser, eem.

You don't need to use the URL tags for any links after the first, just past the links straight into your post.

Haha, fun release.
I think I will have to try these little guys. The graphics look cool

That is nothing at all like I'm used to. Thanks for the tip.
I'm really tempted to buy these NOW but I'll try to wait until the inevitable weekend deal bundle pops up.
Oh gosh darnit I was hoping for Bloodrayne 2 today.
Ah well here is another hoping it will arrive next!
This looks potentially interesting, but I like other kinds of games, so pass for me.
Interesting release. I'll probably pick it up at some point, since I'm quite interested in artificial intelligence, but I've got too much in my backlog to be buying any more games right now.

Mind you, if you don't use URL tags, you run the risk of the forum putting random whitespaces in the middle of the URL. The trick is to use the URL tags properly. This means that you put the actual URL inside the first URL tag, after the = sign. Between the tags, you put whatever text you want the link to show up as. This can also be the URL if you want.
Wow. My head just exploded.
This is... is... I'm speechless.
Thanks, GOG. I mean it. Thank you so much.
For those who know the series, which of the 3 offered packs is the best deal?

I'd say Exodus (Creatures 3 + Docking Station). That's what I got now, but I'll probably get the other two later. :-)
What?... but... these games are... cute. They look cute. Where is my violence, GOG? Where. Is. My. Violence?
*Goes off to play Painkiller*
Nah, I'm kidding. I'll ask the wife if she's interested in these. She's a big Sims fan.
