Kingoftherings: Haven't finished the first one quiet yet, but BR2 looks even better than BR1.

Sadly... it's not. BR1 is an absolute masterpiece, BR2 is a great game if you loved BR1... but you know how sequels and the need to add new crap in goes. Sometimes they add a little too much, over-complicate the controls needlessly, and screw up what had been a zen gaming experience.
I mean, it's still a good game and should be played... but don't expect a step up from BR1, expect a step down (albeit with better graphics) and you won't be disappointed.

pops117: Hhhmm... both links get me to the same page. Maybe that's intended.

I found a working link from the README of the FSAA patch.

Just click the High Definition Textures link and it takes you to the same link that lackoo1111 provided but won't redirect you.

I figured it out (it only works if you follow specifically the link on the site) and have been enjoying the game but I thank you kind Sir ;)
I would be screwed without this patch, the game would crash and in the worst case lock up my system if it weren't for this tool. The black cutscene bug is also somewhat troublesome, but with the new "cutscene.dll" I was able to get it working nonetheless.
BTW you don't need to pick one of your video player in order to watch the videos in case you get this bug. The game already supplies its helper called "cutscene.exe", you find it under the "video" directory. So in the cutscene Tab of the FSAA tool press first "Install The NEW "cutscene.dll"" then radio check "Custom" under "Select your Video Player" afterwards browse to the "cutscene.exe" mentioned earlier (Video Player Path).
No additional params needed, hit "Write Your Configuration To Cutscene.ini" and you're good to go. Note that you will be thrown out of the game back to the desktop (while it loads the helper) each time a new vid is played. It's beyond me why it isn't working natively.
I should have posted that in the subforum I guess... Once I have some more time. :)
This is awesome! Now we might be able to get Star Wolves and Star Wolves 2. I just hope they fix Star Wolves 2 all problem
