Possibly the best game ever made. I bought this version when it first came out, and it is very faithful to the original.
Oh, this is a game I'll definitely be picking it up when I have some time to play. I originally got this with Interplay's 10th Anniversary Collection many years ago. Played through it several times and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hopefully we'll see some other older games like this come up soon.

deejrandom: Any good game for 10 bucks and under is a good deal. Especially when you compare it to something like...I dunno...going to a two hour movie.

You can finish the game in about 35 minutes. So a two hour movie would be a better deal.
:P

Took me alot longer when I First played through it. ANd I know i'm not going to use cheat sheets so...there you go :)
Well I always wanted to buy this but the shoddy nature of the official site didn't fill me with confidence. I said to myself that I'd buy it when it came on GOG. Here is is and so I did.

Zeewolf: Jeez, people. All time classic, remade with HD graphics (but including the original as well). And you're complaining?

Might I remind you of the secret of monkey island special edition? People bitched incessantly from the release of the first screenshot about guybrush's hair! At least it makes a BIT of sense to bitch about money
Geez, what a classic.
Didn't see this coming from 2 miles away.

Zeewolf: I agree, the price is a little low. Should have been $15.

I don't understand the complaints too. You're paying only $1 more for all the extra freebies. Can't get any better valued than that. Well, actually it can, but come on, do people seriously think $1 more for soundtrack, dev diary, manual, technical handbook and custom made wallpapers is too much? That's basically $0.20 per freebie, with hi-speed mirrors for download ease too!
:S yeesh
The soundtrack alone is worth the full price.
I got the boxed edition, the same day i've heard it hit the stores. Although, i'm not into rebuying stuff i already have, especially in digital form, i have to say we've got ourself another jewel!
This edition rocks, i think all/most great games should receive such a remake. They're also a great chance for the younger crowd to get a classic, legally, and a box!:D
I remember when i was a kid i saw Ultima Underworld on a shelf in one of my city's "game stores" [small shops with 10 games, 4 monitors and 2 soundcards;P] and i was put off by it's price, so my mom never picked it up for me.. If only i knew what it was about, and ask mom a bit more.. Ah, damn.
It sucks to be born 10 years too late.;P
I guess what really makes this edition shine, is that they've kept the feel of the original, with a GENTLE facelift.
Just imagine Dune 2, with a such a gentle facelifting, updated AI and so on..
Ah, dreams..;)
One of the best 16 bit games ever I remember the intro on my atari st it was one of the best. Had to buy this as soon as it came here. It is as hard as hell but then this is a game not designed to be wattered down for the casual gamer.
I do want to try this, never played it, but I will wait for a promo.10 bucks is a bit high for me right now.
This is one of the best video games I ever played in my life! The game have ben mostly made by a single man Eric Chahi A French Dude who learned game programming by himself... This guy Rules if you ask me! Looking foward for the sequel Heart of the Alien! Heart of Darkness would be nice to have too...
Excellent! Another World is truly a good old game, it fits really well here.
I will not buy it though, as I already have the boxed version of this anniversary edition. The only bonus feature I don't have are the wallpapers, so...
But I strongly encourage anyone who don't own the 15th anniversary edition, or who have never played this gem to buy it instantly!

KingofGnG: I'm looking forward to get Flashback (very probable)

Well me too, but Another World here doesn't mean we'll have Flashback too.
The only common aspect was that both games were published by Delphine Software, but it's not the case anymore with AW, as Eric Chahi has bought back rights for it.
And as Delphine is dead (RIP...), I don't know who has rights for all their titles.
I'd be so glad to see Flashback, Fade to Black, Cruise for a Corpse, etc...
Interesting and worthy addition to the GOG catalogue. For me, though, it's always a bit strange seeing Another World on the PC, as it is a game I personally strongly associate with the Super Nintendo.
Regardless, I'll be getting this at some point; maybe I'll even finish the game this time around...

A classic trial and error game. Amazing at the time, but the 15th Anniversary Edition wasn't pushing any new boundaries unlike the original version, so I'd rather pay $5.99 for the older one truth be told. Gameplay is identical and the atmosphere is just as compelling too. Now Flashback and this game together for $9.99 and suddenly it's a big consideration. Anyway, another week goes by without my pockets being loosened of cash by GOG.
