Miaghstir: To be fair though, that IS the most common meaning of "it sucks", wether the speaker actually intended it that way or not.
anjohl: The problem is that "Not compatible with your tastes" clearly outlines the subjectivity, whereas "It sucks" seems to indicate an objectivity. Yes, "seems" being the important word. The most common meaning of "it sucks" is subjective, not objective, because the speaker often didn't even try to analyse the situation in a relatively objective manner but instead used their own preferences as a base for comparison.
