wombatsam: I installed PlayOnMac and cheated it by telling it that I was installing GOG-Torchlight. It created a custom bottle that is happily running Retro City Rampage.
Oh yeah, that's another workaround I've used countless of times.

Hah, don't even mention those - yesterday morning I've filed a bug report that Giants wasn't yet updated to a new installer. 12 hours later, issue was resolved and the new install script was uploaded. It's an utterly fantastic service, and as far as I'm concerned, exactly what Linux needed (not sure about Mac, since I don't use that OS.)
