Sorry to bother you guys.

But should there be a "sticky" something that welcomes new users and invites them to this Forum?

Maybe, just maybe without everyone yelling their favorite game titles at newcomers?
It's like this weird medieval market situation where everyone just wants to sell and yells at you that you should buy his stuff.

Anyway, It took me half a year before I realized that gog.com has a vivid and somewhat entertaining forum. So there should be a nice invitation after the sign-up process. Something people actually read, not that spammly newsletter "Where can I unsubscribe" thing.

Just saying.

DON'T BUY MASTERS OF ORION II IT'S TOO GOOD FOR YOU!!!

That is all

But... you go to the souks and bazaars for that kind of ambiance. The throng of people, the noise, the smell of the merchandise on offer. Who prefers Tesco? ;)

I doubt that newcomers want to be overwhelmed by the bazaar like atmosphere of gog, especially as most of them are probably more accustomed to Tesco, Walmart or LIDL.

On the other hand,
if Master of Orion II would smell as awesome as it really is, everyone would have bought it instantly without even knowing what they are doing to themselves.
hahaha i reckon! talk about spamming a thread!!!

i'm not bothered though as I've got the answers I need and I'm only on here for games I used to play as a kid so I can keep myself entertained at work (nothing challenging to do since February 2012).

FYI, I'm from Australia so Tesco, Walkmart and LIDL don't exist here (apart from online obviously, no wait....we don't have the internet either.) sh*t.

That's impressive. I've never seen anyone making a forum post by carrier pigeon before ;-)
