SimonG: But is it HD?
In the literal sense, yes (it does support 1920x1080), but it's not the bells-and-whistles version that was released seemingly everywhere else EXCEPT here.

Groupees did release a DRM-free version of the HD version a while back though. They took their time in fixing the problem, but it came eventually.

Trilarion: And I had hope when I read the thread title, hoping for sensational coming true rumours...
sorry to get your hopes up :) shame though, since XCOM remake is a remake of one of the best old games. Should be on here! :P

I understand that it probably won't, just asked here cause most ppl here know more than me about this stuff. Thanks for replies everyone!

OneFodderUnit: Unfortunately it is a Steamworks game. I don't think any game has had Steamworks ripped out of it to end up on here.
LOL I love the choice of words here. Steamworks sounds like a CPU chip implanted in someone's brain that must be removed before they can function normally.

Actually, that's quite an appropriate description!

;)

Starmaker: Alan Wake?
And the award for "Quickest Way to Utterly Refute a Statement" goes to....... Starmaker for "Alan Wake"!
Though if I had to be semantic, I'd presume that Alan Wake's final developer build (DRM-free_ came to GOG, while they added Steamworks to the Steam version.

So, it's less about removing Steamworks and more about getting the build without Steamworks.
I'd settle for the original XCOM finding it's way here.
