mystral: Maybe. I'm more of a single player gamer, but NWN 2 multi might be fun if we can find a good mod that supports co-op play or an interesting PW.
lowyhong: How's the PW community doing these days for NWN2? NWN1's seems almost dead already, but I am sorely tempted to kickstart it again, as I really like the Richterm/Nordock-based PWs.
I don't really know. Only spent a few hours on some NWN 2 PWs, didn't really find anything to my liking.
There are some good sp mods but NWN 2 multi was always lacking due to the fact that when it came out most people couldn't run it well enough, and by the time they could it was too late. Plus Obsidian's toolset was really bugged and lots of modders lost hours of work due to toolset crashes.
GameRager: NWN2 has a good plot to start with but the game lags so bad on any PC I use it on(The hardware is fine but the engine is laggy and non optimised) that I won't touch it much. I never got beyoind the village at the start.
Frankly you haven't missed much imo. The plot starts out as pretty interesting, and it does have its good points but it becomes full of clichés, unlikable or boring characters (that you can't dump), boring filler content, inconsistencies and plot holes.
The plot for the NWN 2 OC is rather bad imo, and probably the worst piece of writing Obsidian's ever done. The only reasons to own NWN 2 (like NWN) are the mods and the expansions, especially Mask of the Betrayer.
