I was looking through a charity shop earlier and found an old Smurfs game that my little sister loved when she was wee so I bought it for my kid. The Smurfs The Teletransportsmurf by Infogrames.

I was just wondering if I can get this thing running in Dosbox? It's been so long since I used Dos I wouldn't know where to start. :)

You can try to run the game with D-Fend Reloaded: http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/index.html?lang=en
You have a frontend with an integrated Dosbox then. It will help you to configure it automatically in most cases. Feel free to ask if you have any trouble while using this, but i think, you won`t have any trouble :)

According to a quick Google Search, that's a Window game so dosbox won't be any help. Do you have a dos version?

Do you have any info about system requirements?
This abandonware website claims it's compatible with DosBox 0.73 and higher.

Try dragging smurf.exe to the dosBox shortcut.

i get an error saying it can't read the disc.
Is it required to use the cd after installation? If it`s an Dos game and the CD is required to play, you should download the above mentioned front and try this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGUplUNFfKE

EDIT: to mount the cd-rom (if neccessary) take a look at this too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9VB75N9bfs
