Does anybody remember the RTS game that had a guy in an iron mask and a purple background on the cover? Many thanks

Do you remember anything else? Is it older / newer game, top-down view, etc.
Any tidbit would help to identify it.

I beleive it is pretty old now but it's not old enough to be pixelated. It was isometric/top-down sort of view and had quite a few races to choose from. It was also a fantasy game, not sci-fi.
