Like Gazoinks said, you should look into this stuff. Just to have some, I guess, middle ground in which to talk with her.

Granted, I love me a good story involving such secret puppet master entities, I do not believe they have such great power as they do in stories about them. Maybe they do, I've no idea.

I'm sure there is some way to convince her otherwise, that they (secret global cults) are either fabricated, or do exist, but not in the way she seems to believe.....

Psyringe: Look, I have asked very specific questions. If you cannot answer them, then linking to a 30k text document is not an answer, it's a cop-out. If the answers are really contained in that document (so far I haven't found them), then please tell me where exactly. So far, what I have found in this document, is a lot of anecdotal evidence, some studies which are claimed to be scientific without giving me much opportunity to check it, and a pretty one-sided approach of collecting information.

So, I'm still waiting for the answers. Mind, the questions I asked are by no means outrageous or special. These are very basic questions that every single scientist has to answer if he wants to have any hope of being taken seriously (and for good reason).

I don't care what the "report" is, I want verification from 2 independant sources. So far 1 has been linked, if a second appears that is independant of the first, I would take a look. If all reports are derived from the initial, my "Bullshit" sense will be toggled.
Doesn't matter the topic, doesn't matter the field, unless you have very good reason to trust your source, assume the first source is lying.

However, there's a difference between "powerful, largely unethical food monopolist with aggressive lobbying and questionable methods", and "secret conspiracy to take over the world through food".

All that is not relevant to my questions though, and in fact it _must not_ be relevant to them. Scientific integrity consists of working thoroughly, reliably, giving full accounts, and doing so independently of one's own thoughts about the bigger picture.
