Paradoks: I find someone's death being celebrated depressing. It doesn't matter to me if she was a horrible person or not. That's all I've got to say on this topic.
You've every right to your opinion, I will just clear the air with that statement.

Anyway, I find it unrational to view it so statically, maybe because I find life less sacred than the typical view and more of a privilege that falls upon you once you're born. Also taking the fact into consideration that she was 97 years old puts things into perspective. If I reach that age I hope someone celebrates my death rather than mourning it because by then I'll likely be very tired of life as I imagine most humans would be.
I hate my grandma too, so I'm in!
Not in, but +1 for the giveaway, even though the reason is questionable.

Without your grandma, you wouldn't be here.

KneeTheCap: Without your grandma, you wouldn't be here.
That's hardly an accomplishement :P

On a serious note, if the only good thing one can say about his grandma is that she popped out her parent at one time, she deserves little to no respect.

On a less serious note, I am now drinking a beer for all evil grandmas burning in hell right now.

Sorry for your loss and my condolences.
So just out of curiosity, what do you do with a 97 year old pineapple when it's dead???
I'm in.

Kunovski: long past are the days where elders were the wisest and most important people in the family...

now every youngster is a smart-ass :D
My 7 years old daughter appears to agree with you. She recently told me that she would be quite eager to inherit some ( as in " all that can be sold to make some money" ) of my belongings. She also asked if she really had to share with her daughter and brother. I guess the next step is to put contracts on our heads.
Count me in and thanks for your generosity, P1na!

P1na: Now you might think I'm a horrible person for saying this, but I don't care and I'm not in the mood to argue about it; so if you feel I'm that bad just don't enter the giveaway.
I'm sure you've your reasons. I felt the same towards two relatives of mine and while the feeling has been tempered over the years, I won't shed tears when they finally pass.

Harsh! Definitely not in.

I hope everyone's, and especially my, grandchildren don't feel the same when the time comes.
I'm in, thank you.
I'm reminded of Derek and Clive.

Not in, thanks.
Thanks for the giveaway, P1na! Count me in.

I've never hated any of my grandparents, but I wasn't especially close to my grandfather when he died (I was five), so when my dad came in to break the news to me, I remember being like "eh". I bet that freaked him out o_o
"How do you kill..." and my "Grandma just died" threads sitting right next to each other look a bit odd and distrubing.
