I like The Witcher series, both are very good games. Also, as a Pole, but mainly as a gamer I'm very happy that it has unique slavic style. Don't get me wrong, nothing chauvinist. It's just because about 80% of cRPGs are being created by Germans and they are stylizyed in German architecture, German mythology, etc. and it's of course justified because of the classic medieval conception. But it's quite good to have a little more of mystical forest or small parochial village with this whole slavic mythology (which definietly is not less interesting than Nordic or Greek, but not as much popular).
Please take a look at the picture related below. It's one of the Artur's Grottger drawings from the "Lithuania" series. It looks quite similar to first Act of The Witcher 2, and both of them reminds me stories about Vodyanoys, Rusalkas or Fern Flowers which my grandparents used to say when I was kid. Also there was a lot of books with fables about slavic mythology. Only 20 years of economic freedom have passed, but now in Poland we don't remember about our own mythology, don't have time or will to cultivate it (I don't mean religious side of course, just cultural one). Maybe it's more popular in eastern countries like Belarus or Ukraine, I don't know.
Why am I telling all that shit ;)? Because I'm happy that The Witcher series somehow keeps this slavic culture and even exports it to the whole world. But there is one more thing in The Witcher 3 I'm personaly very happy about. It's band called Percival and you might heard it in the latest trailer video.
Music in The Witcher was good, but to be honest I don't remember it at all. That means it could and should be better. And, finally! CDP Red invited very interesting band, which mixes folk and rock music with slavic style.
Last year polish rap producer Donatan invited most popular rappers and they created an album where "guys from the street" are talking about slavic spirit and how it's related to modern style of life. Also Percival band was invited, and I'm quite sure they did a lot to the final effect (maybe even they did the best job). You could try it right here:

(there's more at youtube and there are also instrumental versions if you don't care what that guys are talking about [nothing very important])
For me that kind of music served in modern, attractive way is absolutely outstanding. When I watched the trailer of The Witcher 3 for the first time I just knew it's Percival and for the rest of the day I was just looking for a confirmation.
I'm pretty sure that the audio aspects of The Witcher 3 will be absolutely brilliant now. Percival fits perfectly to the universum of The Witcher 3. I just can't wait to hear the full soundtrack :)
