For younger part of our community this might be an unknown area. To clarify, I mean text online RPGs:

I'm pretty sure many of you have played them in the past, but do you play them nowadays? Or is it totally archaic?

Personally, I'm still playing one. Since 2002! Not many players are left, but the memories and old friends are keeping me in :)

Used to play lots of Icesus, some BATMUD and even ShadowGate. But thats long past really.

I played Valheru MUD for many years. When I started, it was run from a local BBS near where I lived, and I dialed up to the server directly.

I haven't played for many years though.

From what it seems to me, MUD games have been prevalent on mobile devices lately, but Aardwolf is the only one I bothered to dl and try. I am not a huge fan of too much texty games, or text-based games for that matter, so it was a short fascination.

I was playing one called Elveszett világ (lost world). But I've quit around 9 years ago.
