Just so you all know (newbies and oldies), the GOGWiki is a community effort to document every GOG game and some site features. We hope to, eventually, be a complete point of reference for deciding on purchases, so you know exactly what you have to do to make your GOG work on your computer.

Simply type the name of the GOG you're interested in into the search box to be instantly taken away to its page full of hints, tips and tricks for getting the best out of it. Obviously, some pages are not complete and that's where you come in! All registered users can edit the Wiki.

And while you're at it, consider voting on this wish to get the Wiki linked to on all gamecards.

Thank you very much!
Ye. There's also my alternate suggestion on the wishlist, too, suggesting to integrate wiki tools into GOG itself (which I'd posted before TheJoe's suggestion). Without wanting to step on many toes ... I'd just prefer to have the wiki on the same page - more comfortable than jumping to another page, but alas. Preferences.

That a wiki like thing should be more present somewhere is a definite, though. So vote for whatever solution you prefer. I'll mark mine as obsolete if it falls way behind.

Mnemon: snippity
I completely understand, although I would be wary of a page integrated directly into GOG. I think such a move would require yet another site overhaul; we can barely fit a forum in here.

Additionally, just look at some of the asinine wishlist suggestions, game reviews and comments. Imagine everybody on GOG being able to directly modify the wiki without much effort... I think there's just too much room for stupidity to wiggle its way in. The GOGWiki requires a separate account to edit, currently, and that adds a security measure against people who just want to watch the world burn.

Additionally, integration isn't the only way GOG could support the wiki. Have a look at tf2.com, they just link to the wiki which is still a separate installation on wiki.tf2.com. Would wiki.gog.com and a better theme be good with you? I'd definitely like that.

I understand where you're coming from, though. Still, if you're comfortable enough with the Wiki as it stands, consider helping out a little, eh? ;)
I know. I used to be involved with fumbbl.com - their wiki works wonderful as a community built and monitored effort even if there's some hefty disagreements, now and then - so there are counter examples for everything. And I do edit the gog wiki, now and then. Alpha Centauri's entry, for example!

Wow, didn't catch that! Thanks a lot for that. The Centauri page is pretty much a textbook example of a perfect page right now, covers pretty much all the basics. Great work.
Is that...
I think it is ...

yup, definitely a

Very nice! Thanks everyone who helped get it this far, and thanks ahead for what is to come. Voted!
Voted and helped contribute a little by adding to the unofficial patch sections of Ultima 1+2+3 and 4+5+6. I only added a entry for Pix's Ultima patcher since that was a all encompassing program with all the upgrades and fixes for 1-6 but I was going to also put entries for each individual fix as well but I thought it may have been pointless but if desired I will be happy to go back and add entries for them.

Also when I get a chance I will add some of the source engine ports like XU4, Exult, Pentagram, ect to their respected games entries.

Edit: added all the known bugs in Ultima 1,2, 4,6, and 7

Question: How to add installer size and hash information?
Voted!
Hows this coming along these days, I havent done much since we pulled all the boxart and renamed the images for upload and pulling the game details for creating the games pages
Last time I was there I went through and tried to get all the GOG game names to work as searches, so if you go to the gamecard page and type that name in it 'should' get you the right wiki page. Living documents, bleh. :)
