Are there any good Monopoly games?

Apparently most the new ones are pants. I still play the old one made by Westwood but its a bit old. I guess they go out of print quickly due to licensing.

Anyways, got any recommendations?

Thank you for your time and attention. Let this be a lesson to all of you
From what i remember Monopoly Tycoon was kind of fun.
i remember there was a 3d monopoly I used to play with my buddies all the time. For some reason I always won on the video game version and I always lost on the real boardgame version
Ah Monopoly, the game where everyone wants to be the car :)

It's not the same as the boardgame Monopoly but I like sim/management games too so I'll try and check that one out. Thanks

hmm, wrong... I always want to be the dog, as I had a similar dog when I was a kid :)
The boardgame geek inside of me wants to tell you to go play a good game, and that monopoly is an objectively bad game for several different reasons. And already has.

But anyway, I've heard that the Star Wars monopoly was quite charming, combining bog standard monopoly with Star Wars sound effects & visuals.

I missed out on buying that back in the day. I remember seeing that and Jazz Jackrabbit 2 in ToysRus and I'm still kicking myself for not buying them.

I think Hasbro Interactive licensed and made a version, along with Yahtzee, Risk, and some other games. You could probably play online today.
If you have EA Origin there is a link to a free online version of Monopoly under free games tab, if not heres a link :

http://board-games.uk.pogo.com/games/monopoly?sourceid=%20origin_monopoly

This is the World Edition, you don't have to sign up to Pogo and just play as a guest if you so please.

If you are wanting a physical copy there is Hasbro Family Game Night which has Pictureka, Operation, Yahtzee, Clue (Cluedo) & Game of Life. Games are officially endorsed by Hasbro through EA & POGO. Bought this and hook my PC up to the big screen and we all sit and play something from it 1 night per week, pretty good and does exactly what it says on the tin as such!

Different areas globally do have variations but all tend to have at least Monopoly & Cluedo, only site I can find with it currently is Target in the USA so you would need to look on the Australian Google, Amazon etc.

Look for either Hasbro Family Fun PC or Hasbro Family Game Night

To give you an idea though on what you are looking for this is the Target link but they don't ship internationally :

EA seem to have some sort of licensing agreement looking on their site so you may need to go the Origin route or have a look on Amazon Australia.

Monopoly rocks the socks, except when the other guys get boardwalk and parkplace then it resembles life too much and it makes me sad.

It's not a bad game, it's just a game that takes tons of time. I think the only aspect of it that's not good is that there are certain properties that basically ensure that you win every time if you can collect them.

I'm no authority on Monopoly video games, but this one looked really cool:

And this one is a little older, but it seems more true to the board game:
