Hi all,

I'm looking for some recommendations for an F-Zero alternative or other futuristic racing game. I guess I've had a craving lately for something that captures the feel of the old F-Zero game, and is perhaps a bit more modern. I've read through some rather old topics on the subject, but I was hoping for some reasonably current options. Possibly the wrong place to ask, but I'd appreciate any suggestions all the same. PC and PS3 are both options for me.

Also, it doesn't have to be "anti-gravity", hovering, or flight-oriented per se. I'll say that I've tried Wipeout HD Fury, and it just wasn't my cup of tea. That's about all I've tried recently. Thanks for any recommendations.

H-Craft Championship.

Doesn't look like you can buy it anymore, so you may have to treat it as *ahem* abandonware, as it does actually look like the developer has abandoned it.

Not sure if there's a Windows version (I'd assume that there is) but there was certainly a Linux version.

There's an upcoming futuristic racer that was kickstarted called Distance. No idea how far in development it is though.

Your car can jump, and has four directional thrusters which help with stunts. It can also sprout wings and fly for a few seconds. (The wings retract when you overheat.)

The keyboard controls are dire, though.
