I am playing Might and Magic VIII - Day of the Destroyer and have had no problems with it until late in the game when I find I am unable to enter Escaton's Palace. At least I can enter it, briefly, I can see a corridor in front of me but a second later the game crashes. I tried playing from an earlier save but it happened again.

I copied my save game to another computer with a different video card (but still on Windows 7) and the same thing happened.

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution?
