Someone does in fact run a 'GOG' server. If you search the forum for Minecraft it should come up.

Since there's already a GOG server that'd be as good a place as any to meet up. :P

The unofficial gog Minecraft server is unfortunately dead (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/minecraft_new_server_for_gog_users)

reaver894 paid for it for a long time, but after a few months with no one logging in it was not fair for him spending money on it any more, so it got terminated.
