One thing to remember is that Thriller does not own any of the rights to the old Microprose franchises.
Most of those are owned by Atari, while 2K Games owns most of the Sid Meier-stuff (they bought Civ from Atari, while Firaxis bought other Sid Meier-rights from Atari before they were in turn bought by 2K).
