Ignoring the remains of a half-eaten mince pie,
You approach the lounge, what is that you spy?
It’s a pristine package which I have left thee
Golden paper glittering under the tree
On-top is a note which humbly suggests
To hurry the hell up, and fix Viking Conquest!
You groan and prepare for another year of demand
And reconsider your dream of forming a Mariachi band
Though before you despair, and lose your composure
Check the bottom of the message, which says ‘please turn over.’
Because flipping the note onto the other side
Reveals another message that says ‘Just kidding, love you guys.’
(Alternate ending for the Grinch-types)
You smile and nod, tearing open the present
But what you find makes you reach for an antidepressant
For it was a double-bluff, a jest within jest
And nestled in the wrapping, lies Viking Conquest.
