Does anyone have any ideas to get this to work on XP Pro? I tried having it run under Windows 95 or 98, and it still CTD after the FASA logo comes up.
Thanks,
I've never had any trouble getting it to work on Win XP. Have you tried launching it in Win98 compatability mode?
As I recall I had no issues either, when running in compatibility mode, I will test it again soon, however I have other issues: my original Wingman digital extreme joystick that I got for MW II, is still with me! however, it's drivers no longer install on XP, from the disc, xp dont like em (yeah yeah yeah, I kept it all...) and the updated version I got from logitech's website worked like a charm in every game BUT MW!!! talk about a D'oh!! anyway, I may have found a solution but cannot get it all together until this weekend...so i will post what I find then, in any case good luck!
Thanks guys.
I'll reinstall it and try again. Maybe my computer was just having a bad day.

Somebody wrote replacement DLLs that lets you actually get into the simulation portion of the game without just booting you back to the desktop.
However, while it did make it work on my older XP-based system (Athlon XP 1800+, 512 MB DDR, 9600 XT 128 MB), it still fails to go into the sim portion on my modern Vista system (Q6600, 2 GB DDR2, 8800 GT 512 MB). Complains about negative threads or something along those lines. Trying to set affinity doesn't work...
