I'm new to DOSBox. When I play this game there is an annoying buzz along with the soundtrack, I'm hoping that a config change will correct this.

I'm running Win7 x64 on a stock Dell i7-2600 XPS8300.

Does this buzz occur with any other game/application that uses sound?

Have you tried playing around with the sound configuraton settings for the game?

Looked on the Master of Magic forum to see if anyone else had this issue?

MOM is the only game I have at the moment.

I'd check the options, however, I checked the wiki and didn't see anything about "buzzing". The option descriptions don't indicate what might affect the buzz. I figured I'd ask here to see if anybody else has a buzing problem and/or where to start with my tinkering.

The only sound problems I'be read about so far are stuttering and silence.

Did you try changing the game's sound output through the game's settings or setup exe settings?

lrn2read n00b :P Like I said before try the various DOSBox settings as far as what sound card gets emulated. Perhaps somewhere in the default configuration as far as sound is concerned lies a problem. For the most part games work best when they use the regular Sound Blaster setting instead of Roland or Sound Blaster Pro. I don't have the game myself yet hence I am kind of shooting blind here.

Bah, all you said was check your sound settings....the OP might've thought you meant volume or something....my post at least pointed to a possible SPECIFIC source. ;)

My mind is a little rusty. you see.OP: What he said......if you can't change sound setting much in the game then go into the .conf file for the game(using any text editor) and change the sound card variable/setting(the .conf file usually has help info within it telling you what each setting does and possible variable/settings for each.).
