I believe the Wii has the largest market share by a huge margin? 'Course, there are almost no games worth owning for it... Actually, there aren't many games at all.
Anyway, this thread seems to have gone off-topic five or so pages ago?

If you don't believe that there are many games for the Wii, then you are not look the right way. I have over 30 of them in my collection and all are quality games. Their are plenty more worth owning that I don't have. Not all of them are triple a but they are still worth playing.

Nintendo never stopped making their own top class games and there are some gems on the Wii. All Nintendo did was open up to the casual market in a big way with all those cooking and party games that people deride so much and guess what? Nintendo were right to do so, they are now bathing in fresh dollar bills. Two years ago what was the one game you couldn't get for love nor money? WiiFit.
I remember everyone laughing at Miyamoto when he came on stage and announced the name Wii. He even let the audience take the piss out of him. Those same people forgot he is a freaking genius and the only one laughing now is Miyamoto.

Very well, after playing a 'demo' for a bit, I can easily say this game improves on ME 1 in every aspect. People who know how I was talking about first one may know how weird it is that I say it but: Mass Effect 2 looks like a pretty damn good game, as compared to ME1. It does lots of things right, it runs on my system... Well, actually BETTER than ME 1, I can have settings maxed and I still don't feel any performance drops at all. Instead of listing the good things I have noticed, I will rather list the bad ones - there's much less of those.
Loading screens: Elevators may have been criticized, but they were very climatic. Loading screens aren't. Besides, loadings take up way too much time - there's not so much of them thou.
Game seems to have problem with alt-tabbing.
And... Yeah, that's pretty much it. ... Well, I said I won't talk about positive aspects, but I'm too excited not to, so here it comes:
Combat. It's very gears of war - like, and that means way better than in the original.
Graphics. I thought the opening sequence is rendered. Well, turns out it wasn't. I am really surprised I can run such super-b graphics on my 2 years old LAPTOP, as stated before, with performance being actually BETTER than in ME1.
Movie feeling. It's brought to perfection. Decisions to make with a click, different dialogue options, jumping right into middle of someone else's dialogue... There's lots of it.
Well, at any rate, game is awesome - I am sorry I have an exam to go to tomorrow :D Well, at least I'm relaxed. And pretty damn certain I'll buy the game, as soon as price gets reasonable.

Just installed and tried to play, EA's server is broken so no Cerberus (or DLC) until that is up. Going to watch Human Target to give them a chance to get it fixed.
A few notes:
DLC is handled differently than DA:O. It looks like you still register it the same way, but you instead download a separate installer for the DLC, and install them on your own time (rather than deal with the in-game downloader). I prefer the in-game method (less hassle), but this one is better for the "long haul" as it were. Your DLC is activated by your Cerberus Account, so it is the same as DA:O in that regard (your Cerberus Account is your EA account if you register the key on that membership card they give you :p).
I grabbed the Collector's Edition from Amazon, the DLC they let me download are:
Collector's Edition
Zaeed (I believe he/she is another companion. If DA:O is any indication, this will be the best companion :p)
Normandy Crash Site (which implies that there is a reason we are flying the SR2 :p)
Blood Dragon (Forged in the fires of Ferelden, evidently I am going to be stabbing some dragons)
And, when they get off their butts and send me my code, I will have Inferno Armor
Not sure if we are supposed to have Zaeed and Normandy Crash, but whatever.
[edit] Looks like my problem is a mixture of the servers being overloaded and having bought the PC Collector's Edition. I likely won't have Cerberus until 1800 PST. Yay :p ]/edit]

Does anybody know when will latin american gamers will be able to play the game? From what I've read the installer won't let you install the game until the release date (saw it on D2D).
I know the NA release date is the 26th and in Europe is the 29th but it doesn't say anything about Latin America.
I bought it on GamersGate but I think all the digital versions are the same except Steam's.
I'm still downloading the game but it should finish today I hope.

Wait and see. Do you have a viewable serial number? If so, you can probably activate it today.
I'm downloading the European version and don't have a viewable serial number yet (I assume the game does have one).
