Wishbone: If you want a mature game, play Sanitarium.

taczillabr: Yes, it's on my wishlist already. But I was talking about the mainstream games that self-advertise as mature games.

What mature recent games you guys recommend? Only games after the year 2000 and so.

Well, if you want a mature game (in the good sense of the word), I warmly recommend you to play The Witcher, preferably in the Enhanced Edition version. An excellent scenario, truly beautiful graphics and very easy to handle.
Back to ME2. I'll get it. I know I'll get it. But I'll wait for price to drop down a little or for a GOTY to be released. Can't wait to keep on playing my version of Shepard! :D

CaptainGyro: I still gotta rebuy and play the 1st game. My dog got a hold of and chewed up my disc right after I was able to go to different planets

After installation the disc is not required to play the game. Still got it installed?

I had the 360 version
Pre ordered... The first game was amazing, they do a great job with the illusion of choice you get in some of the missions (even if all roads lead to the same place). Can't wait to play.
I think I'll get the collector's edition in an actual retail box because I can't stand PDF copies of artwork.

Wishbone: Also, that trailer for ME2 reminded me a lot of Advent Rising.

Ugh, please don't remind me of that game! So much wasted potential...

Gundato: But keep in mind there is the "hidden" DRM of the Cerberus Network and other DLC. Basically, it is the same thing with Dragon Age. EA is giving you incentive to activate (for all intents and purposes).

That is NOT DRM. Thats extra content, nothing required to make the base game function

Quite the impressive trailer... wonder if the game will manage to stand up to it. ;) I'll almost certainly get the game eventually, but once the scope of the DLC becomes a bit clearer and the price drops a bit. I only picked up the first one once it dropped in price to $20, and was glad I did end up waiting (while the game was certainly good it struck me as quite short, just with lots of filler thrown in that might as well have been procedurally generated). Anyway, I still have numerous GOG games to work my way through, still have DA:O to grab eventually, Divinity 2 to get at some point, the King's Bounty expansion to get once it drops to $20, and I haven't even really taken a look at what games are slated for release past first quarter. So I'm definitely not in any rush to buy anything.

As I've said before... PDF extra content files are akin to buying a picture of a greasy burger, for the same price of an actual burger.
Physical stuff FTW!

Salsa_Shark: I'm getting a copy for my 360 and then I'm going to get the collectors edition for the PC when i have a computer that can actually play it.

Collectors edition may not be available then. Normal one will be but the collectors is supposed to be limited and the game is in high demand.
This isn't a big deal for PC gamers, but all of the "free" DLC included with the game is intended to discourage used sales, as the DLC is only free with new (non-used) copies of the game.
I'm sure that Gamestop employees with thoroughly deny the above, as the retail chain relies on used sales to generate the vast majority of its profits. Any estimates as to the number of 360 owners that will be screwed by this?
I personally see no problem with monetizing the used games market. These are sales that they don't make any money from. Why shouldn't they be able to get their hand in the pot on used games, especially when you don't need to buy the DLC anyways?

I merely implied that Gamestop employees push used games aggressively (I find it annoying), and may misinform buyers in order to push a used game over a new game. In the case of Mass Effect 2, buyers of used copies may save about $5 (the mark-up on used games is pretty terrible there), but miss out on $5-10 of "free" DLC.

It is the exact same system used by GalCiv. You don't need to authenticate, but if you want to get "your money's worth", you do. For GalCiv that meant patches through Impulse. For DA:O, that meant DLC through Bioware/EA.
I for one don't care, but I feel the need to point it out, because I find that a lot of the things I don't care about tend to be "make or break" things for people who are highly anti-DRM.

DarrkPhoenix: King's Bounty expansion to get once it drops to $20

The gold edition was like $11 on steam a week or two ago. :/
