Eli: Clearly, this meme contest (much like what GOG.com sells) is just good plain fun. The contest itself and the games here on the site are obviously NOT the company, and from that perspective I can whole-heartedly participate by both buying and playing said games, and by posting something here.
That said, I do not in any way agree with or condone the recent behavior of GOG.com's senior management. Their severely unprofessional actions have been in bad faith, and have done nothing to convey a sense of security, trust, or confidence in the company. Further, the events of the last few weeks have pointed to a culture of non-professional attitudes at the highest levels of GOG.com, and their resultant choices have acutely degraded my and my fellow customer's confidence in the company.
Simply put, it's been a truly embarrassing - and HILARIOUS - side-show to watch these people attempt to run a relatively simple corporation. I mean it's just plain funny. This contest, then, seems like it fits just fine.
