This giveaway will end when one group (Townies or Mafia) wins, and then the winner of the giveaway will be decided from that group, but by another method; I am still deciding what it should be (maybe there will be two winners, I don't know yet).

You'll be randomly assigned to your groups, and it doesn't matter if you die during the game; if your group wins, you'll be added to the pot for the next round, so you should try and make your group win!

I will judge the feasibility of this giveaway by the level of response to this thread, and then post the sign-up and game threads.

FYI: This giveaway game is completely separate from the GOG Forum Mafia games, please don't post in those threads and disturb their game, thanks. However, I don't care if players from those games want to join here.

Let me know if you're a Mafia game pro, and you foresee some kinks in my giveaway plan.

I'll be the moderator, and the prize for the giveaway will be ...TBD (to be determined).

Some pertinent info:

- Sign-up will end some time Monday or Tuesday.

- Game will begin some time next week, maybe near Thursday or Friday.

- Players can vote (lynch) on their own schedule, but at least post once every two days or they will meet with an unpleasant end in the story (DUN DUN DUUUUUUN).

- There are two phases to the game: day (voting time) and night (discussion time); night beings when enough votes for a lynch are cast, and the mod announces the results.

- reg date before Feb 2014

- at least 5 rep (but I'll make exceptions if I've seen you post around, PM me)

Makes sense, and definitely :] In hindsight, I wanted to do a relatively shorter giveaway, and I didn't know that Mafia games might take long to end, lol. Well, we'll see what happens with this.

So make it short yourself. ;-) It doesn't have to be so long as our games are. It can last only days if you wish so.

Never knew what Mafia was, but it sounds like a simple & fun game. Looking forward to it.

Everybody talk me wonderful things about Mafia and a bit bad about Mafia 2. They convences me to believe that the one is more original videogame. Maybe all the people that talk me about Mafia games are a big fan of the original and the second can't cover the expectations. Anyway, I didn't try any of them. :/
