So right now there is an Annual parade going on in the US

Sonic the Hedgehog balloon is leading the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year, right after the Macy's stars.

In case anyone didn't know....the last time this has happened was in 1993 (See attached picture)

Sonic the Hedgehog was the fist Videogame character to be in this parade which from what I understand is quite popular in America

This marks an important date for Sonic and SEGA as well

Oh gawd, why did they have to pick Splash Hill to play in the background?
Good that he returns to the parade though!

What I really found to be disheartening this year was the lack of focus on the Parade. Nothing but stupid MC's and who was sending what tweet and what picture ... I was really disappointed and turned it off.
