I'll kick off with something unconventional, and something non-Finns are unlikely to have heard in the past. Kultanaamio by Finnish prog-rock band CMX sounds like a positive song even if you find the language incomprehensible, but if you think about the lyrics for a moment, you'll realize that it's about an inherently unstable relationship that inevitably goes wrong. Counts as a love song as far as I'm concerned, though.

Rush have made a few love songs throughout their career, my favourites being Ghost of a Chance and Different Strings. Again, they're not the first things that most people would come up with when thinking of a love song, and I guess I prefer it that way. Rush in general is the shit, so I'm kind of biased here anyway.

And finally something from a game, namely Everything's Alright from To the Moon. I walked home through pretty much half the city way past midnight once, my whole music library playing on shuffle through the headphones. On my favourite location in town, this song started playing, and just as the last few notes played, a shooting star flew across the sky. I swear this happened for real. It would have been romantic film grade cheesy if I had been with a girl at the time, but since I wasn't, it just happened to be a very very pretty moment in its own right.
Love Song For A Vampire - Annie Lennox
Marilyn Manson - The last day on Earth :
