Hello,

I'm looking for RPGs to play with my girlfriend. I just bought Darkthrone but it's a little buggy. :(
I think Divinity: Original Sin would be perfect but for now, our second PC is old and too slow for it.

What could you advise us?

We already finished the Baldur's Gate series and would like something more refreshing. I have Neverwinter Nights but the game box is elsewhere for now.

The problem with a lot of games is that the multiplayer part seems different and lighter than the solo part.
We played 2 hours to Darkstone and even if it's basic, it's quite fun!
But you need to read the manual before beginning.

This was actually what I came here to suggest- it or its sequel.

If you like action RPGs, Titan Quest you may also want to consider... If it does LAN. I know it HAD multiplayer, but I don't know what the current state of it is, as it ran off GameSpy.

I tried Titant Quest some time ago but the beginning was very boring to me. But I'm surprised how fun Darkstone is at last. Because it's quite basic, but it works. Titan Quest seems to be the same kind though (Hack & Slash), but it has a classic theme park RPG that I dislike. I couldn't really explain why because it's not very different from other games.

I think I should be able to convince my girlfriend to play NWN after that, and maybe Torchlight 2 and Original Sin when we will be able to buy a better machine. ^^

Original Sin seems really cool, more story-driven and modern.

The Infinity Engine Games (Baldur's Gate I & II, Icewind Dale I & II, not Planescape Torment which obviously is exclusively single player) could fit.

I don't know if the new Enhanced Editions are better in that case, though.
How about Diablo 2 ? Not exactly coop, but really fun to play with someone .

If you have finished Baldur's Gate, how about Icewind Dale? It's really similar to Baldur's Gate series.

I'd love to have more multiplayer RPG too. It's a shame there's not many out there.
I love playing the Icewind Dale games with friends. They're excellent multiplayer RPGs.
