After a break in posting retrospectives and spotlights, we're bringing back the "something to read about good, old games" section to life. Today we're highlighting mods for Far Cry.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/far_cry]Far Cry, featuring the astonishing CryENGINE, was incredibly looking and one of the most innovative shooters back when it was released. 6 years later it still looks really good and with the active modding community it still brings loads of fun. Thanks to the the sandbox editor, every home-grown level designer could create a first-person game of their dreams. The results of some modders work are incredible and we'd like to draw your attention to couple modifications. Don't hesitate to comment and add more fan-made mods as we know there are plenty of them - we're just giving you a spotlight on the ones we really liked.
Have you been clearing your cookies a lot? Maybe their nonsensical beta-key-cookie limit has been tripped.
Alternatively, you might be on an ISP that changes your IP much more frequently than others. For example if you're on AOL, your IP address can be different each time you load a webpage, making it look to automated checking systems that you're sharing your account.

SamosaSan: Cheers, Naa, I'm pretty bad with clearing my cookies. Plus I'm guessing it's the same cookie that lets me see the rest of the site (Since if you try to load it anywhere else it just goes to the beta intro page).
Yeah, I'm in New Zealand and I'm pretty sure my ISP does do that. But I've been able to download all of these games and extras before. Serveral times actually, since every time I've downloaded the file has been corrupted.

Which ISP are you with? I'm with Orcon and I have had no problems. Though I have only downloaded two games so far.

Telecom. But I'm unsure whether this problem is to do with the ISP or not, as I was previously able to download the files but something seems to have been flicked to prevent me from doing so now.
Not that many people are probably watching this thread. But everything is sorted now.
Typically it WAS my fault as I was using a multi-threaded downloader which flagged my accounts behaviour as suspicious. Which is fair enough, I thought I should let people know so if anyone else has the issue, they have something else to take into consideration.

Ah yes. I forgot that NZ ISP's do that at times. I was all set to just pimp Orcon over Telecom... Which I may do anyway :p
