I was going to Let Me In expecting to hate it. Something about the trailers and promotional material screamed "We don't get what the first one was all about!" Surprisingly, I ended up liking the new one a little better. They are extremely faithful, and the changes they do make are interesting and welcome. The boy is still kind of sociopathic, Chloe Moretz (who you may remember as Hit Girl from Kick-Ass) gives a pretty powerful performance, and it's generally messed up and heartwarming in the same ways the original was. I'd say go see it.

Really? I thought it kind of looks like it is raping the original one. Should I see this one, or the Polish one first?
I liked it better than Let the Right One In, but I still don't think it's as good as everyone raves about it being.

Also, they did very little with the new version, which was good, because they just cut out most of the weaker subplots. I'd say you're not going to lose anything seeing the US version first, in fact, I kinda wish I had just seen the US version because I might have liked it more if I didn't know every last scene of the movie already going in.
