Apparently only disc checking. A thread on the telltale forums explains their DRM stance

Thanks for that, really didn't want to search for it.

Beat it. Was very enjoyable, but tainted by that really bad puzzle in the middle of the game. Looking forward to more goodness to come.
Beat it! Good stuff, just like the originals. It didn't miss a beat.
I liked that they added the feature of holding down the left mouse button so you can guide Guybrush around.

What, your reply was supposed to be a joke? I didn't get it.
Wishbone's right about the UI. Separating the item combination into a special area is over-complication, and the camera angles are a bit wonky.
That being said, so far the humor and style, which were the main things I was worried would be missing, are both all there. Not regretting the purchase.
(And y'all stop hating on Myst, I loved Myst) :P

I know, I'm sorry, I just had to get that out there. After posting that I thought wait a second I like the Zork games and some of those are static rendered so I guess it's not all bad.

(Spoilers may follow)
Completed it. It was fantastic, couple of frustrating puzzles (I had hints off completely, though) and some real funny moments.
Looking forward to seeing the next episode, mainly because of that hugely frustrating cliffhanger at the end there. Who would want revenge on Guybrush so much? Kate Capsize? Carla the Swordmaster? Who knows! But it's definitely a woman. Who's good with a sword. Must be Carla. Must be.
I want Siege of Spinner Cay NAO!

I assumed it was Morgan La Flay, the name is gender neutral and it'd make sense that he/she would be chasng guybrush

[SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS]
But it has to be someone who is a woman and wants revenge on Guybrush. There's only 2 women I think would do that and that's Carla (for abandoning her on Monkey Island) and Kate Capsize (for framing her).
Morgan LaFay could easily be an alias.

Ahh but would they rely on people knowing the previous characters & events, despite it being a very popular series they can't assume knowledge, lots of people are being introduced to the series because of this game. Even with the special edition of MI1 coming out before the reveal of the character in question, they equally can't assume people will buy everything with "monkey island" stamped on it.
Making it a new character will give them the freedom to do whatever they need, an existing character would require a moderate amount of backstory which COULD work but might also be confusing for newcomers
Besides, Carla & Guybrush made up in 4

That makes no sense. Isn't that like reading... I don't know, the third Harry Potter book and finding out it has nothing to do with HP1 or HP2 because JK Rowling didn't expect you to buy them?
ToMI was written for the old Monkey Island fans, otherwise it wouldn't be as faithful as it is.
It has to be accessible to new players who have never heard of guybrush before or they've halved their market.
No matter how much reputation or love a game has, there's no way they can be stupid enough to ignore the fact that there's been nigh on a decade since the last game, that'd be simply retarded and appauling business
So a sequel should have nothing to do with it's prequel because that halves the market?
No.
